Never Stop Dreaming

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the World" ~ Nelson Mandela.

This is one of my favorite quotes and resonated with me throughout my high schools and varsity years. I believed from a young age that one day I would be able to use education, what my teachers and lecturers taught me to change the world. Education breeds knowledge and they say knowledge is power. Education therefore is indeed an essential tool for each of us today as it can lead us to a better tomorrow.

Now as powerful as this quote is, one of the greatest problems in our country is the adequacy of education in our township and urban rural areas. Pupils in these areas are unfortunately, and in most cases not afforded the same educational background as pupils in private schools and government schools in the metropolis(urban area).

These pupils are then limited in their power to one day make a difference in their own communities As a result of a lack in *high quality education*. This unfortunate evidence of a social deficit is leading toward an economic disparity, but there is also a hope to dream ones way out of this disparity.

Shumani Nembudani had a dream many years ago! Her dream was to make available opportunities to the less fortunate so they could empower themselves through education and social skills in a hope to create in them a mindset to be leaders and pioneers. The best way for the Shumani to live out her dream was through giving back to the community that helped raise her to be what she is today. A courageous individual who perseveres through every situation she finds herself in.

Giving back, for our Chief Dreamer, meant giving back her time and the experience she gained through her journey from tertiary through to articles that she completed with Deloitte. "Deloitte made me realize that without courage I would not be able to be true to myself and my beliefs!"

I leave you with this passion burning in me:

"I want everyone to be GREAT. I want for our people to have excellence. For them to be COURAGEOUS! I want us to all have an opportunity to Dream in Colour"
